Abbazia di Praglia (Padova). Chiostro Pensile e torre campanaria. La chiesa originaria doveva essere stile romanico-gotica, orientata est-ovest e probabilmente a navata unica, ma di questo primo edificio resta solamente la base del campanile. La torre campanaria doveva essere a cuspide ma, in seguito ad un fulmine che la colpì nel 1795 fu sostituita da un coronamento merlato. |
Praglia Abbey. Vaulted Cloister and Bell Tower (1490) The original church was to be Romanesque-Gothic style, oriented east-west and will probably a single nave, but this first building remains only the foundation of the tower. The bell tower had to be at the cusp, but after a lightning bolt that struck in 1795 was replaced by an embattled cornice. |
