Il Castello di Miramare è un palazzo costruito nell'omonima frazione di Trieste per volere di Massimiliano d'Asburgo, arciduca d'Austria e imperatore del Messico, per farne la propria dimora da condividere con la moglie Carlotta del Belgio. Affacciato sul golfo di Trieste, è situato a pochi chilometri a nord del capoluogo Progettato dall'architetto viennese Carl Junker tra il 1856 ed il 1860. | Miramare Castle is a palace built in the homonymous village of Trieste at the behest of Maximilian of Habsburg, Archduke of Austria and Emperor of Mexico, to make their home to share with his wife Charlotte of Belgium. Overlooking the Gulf of Trieste, is located a few kilometers north of the city designed by the Viennese architect Carl Junker between 1856 and 1860. | ||||
